The Dress Upload: 7 Styles Vogue Editors Are Loving in September

I’m a sucker for anything with a highlighter hue, so this hot pink Molly Goddard dress got me bye. Its lightweight, voluminous silhouette is perfect for a day on the town, and its ruffled sleeves offer the perfect amount of feminine ruffles on warm days.

I love everything about this Dôen dress: the cornflower blue, the flattering waist and the fact that it’s long and swooshy (technical term). I will wear it every sunny day this summer has in store for us.

I have followed Freya Simonne’s work for a few years now and have fallen in love with the ingenuity with which she creates original clothing from vintage fabrics. It needs to be cool enough for an intense but inevitably short-lived heat wave, not so lean that you’ll freeze in a downpour. Add to that being pregnant and, well, that perfect dress becomes even more elusive. Luckily I found this glorious Clary and Peg gingham number – with a nicely flowy skirt and sleeves – that I know I’ll be wearing long after my bump is gone (all of their clothes are designed to last beyond the pregnancy) and this summer is over. Next on my wishlist? The sage green Phoebe…

I like to have dresses that will serve me in the office, at school and also on vacation, which means a lot of boxes to check. This means that they should be lightweight, easy to put on without thinking too much and, of course, comfortable. One such dress that ticks the boxes is the Cici Geo dress from Ophelia and Indigo. I love the colorful print, the fact that it has pockets (who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?) and the removable belt makes it versatile, perfect for summer.
