“If you wear a tie, you get kicked out” – John Daly reveals his golf course dress code
When we think of John Daly, we think of his game, his unique sense of fashion and his incredible appetite. Daly has always been bold and vocal with his choices, often gaining attention on social media for the same. Of course, Daly has been dressing his own way for years, never following the rules.

Although he opts for a bright t-shirt, his pants often draw attention to the man. The 55-year-old himself has opened up about his style, talking about what he prefers to wear on the golf course.

In 2002 Daly spoke to Conan O’Brien on the TV show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien. The two discussed many things, including Daly and his dress code during class.

O’Brien acknowledges that Daly’s approach to golf is completely different from that of any other professional golfer. Daly lets out a laugh at the comment, aware that he is indeed a bit unique. They discussed Daly not wanting to exercise, playing his game without wanting to analyze his swing too much.

“Grab it and hit it”, Daly said, indicating that he was going with the flow.
After discussing his unusual sponsors at the time (Dunkin Donuts, Hooters), the two ended up talking about how Daly is against a dress code in golf.
“I mean, I feel like someone has a thumb in my throat when I’m wearing one of these things,” Daly said pointing to O’Brien’s tie. “I really do.” When O’Brien asked him about the dress code at his personal golf course, Daly said, “If you wear a tie, you get kicked out.”
Daly even admitted to hating the dress codes imposed by other golf courses. According to the five-time PGA Tour winner, all you have to do is cover your private parts to be allowed on your golf course.

Last year for Breast Cancer Month, John Daly ended up wearing pink shoes to help the cause. The two shoes Daly wore were pinkwith the Breast Cancer Awareness logo on each side. The pink ribbon is the international breast cancer awareness logo.

In addition to Daly’s shoes, we also noticed his shiny pants. They had leaves and flamingos drawn on them, which gave off a bright, summery vibe.
On the business side, he played and won the PNC Championship with his son for the last time, beating Tiger Woods and Charlie in the process.
